In 1920 a call was made by the Catholic Bishops of The United States to organize women and to help educate Catholic women in their spirituality. Today we are a federation of 8,000 women organizing, and representing millions of Catholic Women all over the country.
Our charter is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service. The Blessed Sacrament Council of Catholic Women’s (CCW) mission is to respond with Christian values to the needs of women and their families. We are here to unite women of our Parish, to develop their spiritual growth and leadership potential and to encourage women to share their gifts from God with others in our Church and community.
CCW meets on the third Thursday of each month from September through May at 7 PM in the Parish Hall. Some of our projects are the Jesse Tree, Palm Crosses, Mary’s Way of the Cross, the SHIP Soup Kitchen, Valentine treats for the Sisters of Mercy, and Meatloaf for the Homeless. Our meetings are open to all and new members are welcomed at any time in the year.
