- Deacon Lou Pizzigoni III
Louis Pizzigoni III was born into a traditional Italian American Catholic family in Brooklyn New York. He was married in 1978 to Donna and they have three children. After responding to his first vocation of married life he still felt God calling him to something else, he was ordained to the diaconate on June 5, 2004.
As the first homegrown deacon at Blessed Sacrament, his responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting at the mass, bringing Eucharist to the homebound, teaching 8th grade CCD, assisting as an adult advisor for the Blessed Sacrament Youth Group, providing Pre-Cana classes, development of and implementation of an adolescent RCIA program and responding to any parishioners requests for assistance, especially from widows and adolescents.
“It is an absolute honor for me to serve the community of Blessed Sacrament. My only regret is not being able to dedicate more time to my ministry. The joy of being able to help in whatever capacity I can is only surpassed by the joy of experiencing the love of God which has been present in my life from its inception thanks to my mom and dad.”
