Council of Catholic Women

Mission

The Blessed Sacrament Council of Catholic Women’s mission is to respond with Christian values to the needs of women and their families. We are here to unite women of our Parish, to develop their spiritual growth and leadership potential and to encourage women to share their gifts from God with others in our Church and community.

Service Award Application

For 2014, the Blessed Sacrament Council of Catholic Women is again sponsoring a $500 SERVICE AWARD, named in honor of one of our most beloved members, Ellie Schifano. All graduating high school seniors from Blessed Sacrament Parish, both male and female, are eligible to apply for this award.

History

In 1920 a call was made by the Catholic Bishops of The United States to organize women and to help educate Catholic women in their spirituality. Today we are a federation of 8,000 women organizing, and representing millions of Catholic Women all over the country.
Our charter is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, leadership and service.
